If you are planning a holiday walking in Wales, then look no further this area is a paradise for walkers offering numerous paths and bridleways, as well as more challenging routes to cater for the extreme walker, all within easy reach of Brynarth:

Black Covert/Birchgrove - Are waymarked routes, Black Covert is a lovely walk beside the River Ystwyth and Birchgrove through open woodland.

Maenarthur Trail - This waymarked route takes you through attractive mixed woodland and has wonderful views up and down the Ystwyth valley, a large waterfall and a beautiful gorge.

Hafod - Enjoy nine miles of waymarked scenic walks through the 18th century landscaped estate, set in the beautiful Ystwyth Valley (www.hafod.org)

Coed Tynybedw/Grogwynion - Combine a stunning walk beside the River Ystwyth with a choice of two woodland walks through Coed Tynybedw.

Pumlumon - is the highest mountain in Mid Wales, from its summit you can see the peaks of Snowdonia and the Brecon Beacons and Cardigan Bay.

Walking the Ceredigion Coast Path - The Ceredigion Coast Path follows a 60 mile/96km route between the Teifi and Dyfi estuaries starting just south of Cardigan and heading northwards towards Ynyslas. The path links towns and villages dotted along the spectacular Ceredigion coastline.

Cycling

Some of the best cycling in Wales can be found here in Mid Wales. Cyclists can follow dedicated cyclepaths and byways free from heavy traffic Lôn Cambria and Lôn Teifi both pass directly through this area taking in breathtaking views.

The Rheidol Trail also runs through the Rheidol Valley and is a beautiful route.

Half a mile from Brynarth you can join The Ystwyth Trail which connects Aberystwyth with Tregaron and follows sections of the old Great Western Railway line. Experienced cyclists can follow the entire 20 mile route while sections offer easy cycling for families.
